What is Bungee?
Bungee (previously FundMovr) is the Google Maps for the multi-chain world! Just like Google maps, Bungee helps you discover the best bridges and move your assets between chains via the best possible route! With Bungee, you can choose a token on Chain A and seamlessly find the best route to move that token to Chain B. No need to worry about manually swapping tokens or finding the best bridge! For more on Bungee, checkout our Medium blog(prev FundMovr).
How to use Bungee?
- Bungee App
Head over to app.bungee.exchange to access the Bungee beta app!
2. Connect Wallet
Click on the Connect Wallet button at the upper right hand corner and you can choose between Metamask & Wallet Connect. We’ll soon be adding support for more wallets as well!
3. Select sending chain and destination chain
Sending chain is the chain you're sending tokens from. Destination chain is the chain you want to receive your tokens on. In the example below, we've selected Polygon as the sending chain and Optimism as the destination chain. Clicking on the arrow in the middle swaps the two chains.
4. Select sending token and receiving token
Once you've selected the sending and destination chains, you need to select the tokens you want to bridge from the sending chain and receive on the destination chain. After selecting the tokens, enter the amount of sending token you want to bridge. The estimated output amount of destination token is shown below. Depending on the bridging route, the output amount on destination chain will vary. As we are still in beta, we may have limited support for tokens on some routes.
In case there's a need to swap tokens before bridging, Bungee considers that in the route as well! In the example below, we've chosen to bridge 100 USDC on Polygon to DAI on Optimism. In case you don’t have enough native token on the destination chain to pay for transactions, Bungee will show you a disclaimer.
5. Select the route for bridging
Select the route you'd prefer to bridge with. On the right menu, at the top, there's filters that you can toggle to find your optimal route
High Return - Highest return on the destination chain
Low Gas Fee - Lowest gas fee for bridging
Fastest - Route with least bridging time
In the example below, we've filtered the routes by highest return and chosen Hop Bridge as the bridge. As you can see, swapping from USDC to DAI is considered in the route. Next, click on Proceed.
6. Approve Token
Once you've selected the route, you need to approve Bungee contracts to spend your tokens. Click on the Approve button in the transaction menu to give approval. Your wallet prompt will appear and then you'll need to confirm the transaction on your wallet. In case your wallet is connected to a different chain, Bungee will prompt to switch to the correct network.
7. Complete the bridging
Once the approval is complete, you can now bridge the tokens by clicking on Bridge.
8. Transaction status
You can see a summary of your transaction and check its status on the transaction modal. Once the source transaction and destination transaction is complete, it will be highlighted in the modal with the transaction hash.
After initiating the transaction :
You can also click on the notification button in the navbar to see a history of your previous transactions :
That's it! You've now made the jump with Bungee! 🚀
Please note that Bungee is currently in beta. As we continually improve Bungee and add support for more chains, bridges, DEXs, you'll be able to move tokens across chains seamlessly like never before!
